6 Months To Go | Diary

Planning a wedding is one of the weirdest and happiest things I've ever done lol. It's weird in the fact that somehow once your engaged people automatically think you know what you're doing, Pinterest becomes your best friend if it isn't already, and I honestly don't have much to do for my bridesmaids as much as I thought I would. So I haven't had a bridezilla moment just yet and hopefully for them that doesn't change (some of them are asking for it).

I'm excited and stressed all at the same time and there's not a moment of every day that I'm not picturing how it will turn out, what flavor our cake will be, and how much flowers actually cost. Wedding magazines are pretty and all but I haven't found them as useful as I thought they would be, all i've taken away from them is the timeline that I'm not even following per say. Other than that its been venue hunting, budget breakdowns, late nights pinning, and scrolling through invitation designs on minted.com. All of that plus tons of hoarding and trying to pick a color combination that doesn't make all the other colors you love feel left out.

Luckily I stumbled upon Lauren Conrad's book called Celebrate at Target, and it has taken a load off of my shoulders, putting different events into perspective such as the bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, and her actual wedding. I loved how before she would break down each event she started with an inspiration board that had elements that were clearly seen in the actual event. Thought it was so lovely how apples and arrows were apart of her very own wedding and all the cute hashtags she came up with using her husband's last name "Tell" #tellmeyouloveme.

So I thought I'd make an inspiration board of my own plus I love a good flatlay and share it with you all just to get an idea of what kind of wedding we'll be going for. In this case we love a refined rustic look with natural details mixed with trinkets that mean a lot to us like the letters we wrote to eachother as a long distance couple.  We also love the quote "We were together, I forget the rest."

I really don't know where the time has gone but I'm so excited to see it all come together, wish me luck!
