January Favorites

January was a month of travel for me. From trips to Fresno, California and Portland, Oregon I had to pack light and essential so most of my favorites are items that are multi-purpose. Plus a couple of items I've been eyeing that I just thought were pretty that I could transition into Spring :)

Products from left to right: Snowflower Shift dress. Rosebud Salve Lip Balm in Mint. Grazia Wrap. All from Anthropologie. Fjallraven Kanken Backpack from Urban Outfitters. Figure It Out Banner from Schoolhouse Electric Co. Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s from Urban Outfitters. Chelsea Frames from Warby Parker.

If you've been following a long for a while, you may have seen one of my outfit posts with a familiar fabric to the Snowflower Shift Dress but in skirt form. And as much as I was in love with it then I've fallen even harder for it now. It has such a romantic texture and I feel like its easier to style and pair things with especially for the upcoming season. I picture myself wearing it with mint heels and a yellow cardigan (any pastel really).

The Rosebud Salve Lip Balm has saved my lips and cuticles countless times this Winter and so did the Grazia Wrap. I used the wrap as a blanket on the airplane and a scarf when I'm on the go downtown. Its neutral color made it easy to pair with most of my outfits and kept me quite warm.

During my Portland trip I subbed my satchel bag out for the Fjallraven Kanken Backpack in yellow. I'm a sucker for backpacks even though I never have much to carry on a daily basis. But when I was in Portland I chucked everything in there from my cameras, moleskin, phone charger, umbrella, and even donuts in a box lol. It was the perfect size and waterproof!

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s has always been an all time favorite, if you don't have one buy now and really love the joy of "polaroids" I suggest you invest in one. It makes memories tangible and I always get excited waiting for it to develop. Here are a couple of shots I took in Portland.

On one of my adventures in Portland we stopped by School House Electric Co. and I happened to walk by this banner although quite expensive I loved the simple message of it. There were others that said "let it go" and "its ok" probably can make one yourself out of felt, but this message stuck with me. It was a little reminder that not all things are impossible it just takes a bit of elbow grease to get to where you want to be.

And for my last but not least favorite, my new frames from Warby Parker! Never thought I'd look good in semi clear frames, but I'm just going to have a vain moment and admit that I do especially these particular ones that have a slight peach color to them. This shape is called the Chelsea and the color is grape soda and I believe it comes in another color. I love how my eyes and face feel refreshed and confident with new frames after wearing my Lulu's for so long. Definitely order them as a home try on to see if they work for you and its completely free!  Goodbye January, hello February!
